 Hello! I am your program instructor, and I would love to share a little bit about myself. I have a wonderful, blended family of 6 children and 3 grandchildren. I have worked in the healthcare field since I was 19, starting out as a unit coordinator. I then went on to pursue a career in EMS while working with developmentally disabled adults as I went to nursing school. After obtaining my LPN, I worked for 9 years as a pediatric home health, gaining experience from amazing sources that I was able to pass along to other nurses during my time. In 2023, I was presented with an opportunity to teach CNA classes and I left private duty nursing to gain experience in skilled nursing facilities. I joined the nursing staff at a large skilled nursing facility and worked in many positions over 2 and half years, ending with Assistant Director of Nursing. During that time, many strong and caring people shared their knowledge and skills with me to be able to empower me to share that knowledge and experience with our students as they start their journey into the healthcare field.
